The Grisley Bear Cafe is a hidden gem and proves it’s not the size that counts; it’s how you use it. Wedged at the bottom of Kubic Constructions’ head office, Grisley Bear caters to the takeaway trade with exceptional sandwiches on Noisette and Zeally Bay sourdough; a daily soup and salad; and a weekly special, say, pork-neck ragu or artichoke, broccoli and ricotta pasta. Breakfasts such as Grisley eggs – your way with green chilli and avocado salsa – are best washed down with single-origin coffee. There’s no dinner service, but Grisley’s half roast chook with seasonal vegies has those in the know going on a bear hunt every Wednesday afternoon.
